Business travel is a classically conflicted supply chain. Rebates, commissions and other financial flows, which are greater in value than client fees, create stark conflicts of interest with the end client. The result can be higher overall travel costs. We provide three types of audit.
One … The Airocheck Audit: We use our proprietary HotDamn software to audit for hidden arbitrary fare mark-ups using a base of irrefutable settlement data-of-truth. The process is detailed and thorough with many checks to ensure solid reliable results. When they occur, fare mark-ups can outweigh all other cost factors combined.
Two … The Dealcheck Audit: The second substantial hidden cause of higher travel costs is low availability of your negotiated discounted airfares and hotel rates. There are several possible sources and causes of non-availability, some mendable, some not. We measure availability by contracted fare and rate, and then analyse for causes so that availability can increase to reduce your travel costs.
Three … The Feecheck Audit: Thirdly, we offer detailed auditing of TMC fees and charges. TMC fee formats have become complicated with many fee types. Their application involves manual processing and should be checked for accuracy.
Cost: Lower your travel costs through transparent airfares and better availability of discounted airfares and hotel rates.
Ethics: Ensure supplier good practice that supports your own committments and culture.
Trust: Trust is the necessary lubricant of a well functioning supply chain. It needs to be data-based, especially with a supply chain that is conflicted.
We do not suggest that the cost-increasing practices referred to are pervasive. But we do believe that they are common enough to warrant serious attention as a necessary part of good travel procurement.
